As the season ending world championships draw near for season 17, plans are coming together at the Hyped Cycling Team headquarters in Cape Town for season 18.
This breakthrough South African team has done wonders in its first professional season and has attained a total of 192 OCM tour points, moving up to 8th place in South Africa. As its popularity has increased, the team has even opened up its own merchandising shop and has started selling their bikes.
This young, all national team led by the charismatic Samuel Dixon (who achieved 88 OCM points this season and is now ranked as 12th in South Africa) has already achieved their first pro tour win this season and has set their sights on achieving similar results in the following season.
Speaking to manager Nick Wright on his plans for next season he stated, "we almost achieved 200 points this season. Season 18 we are setting a target of 225 points and the season is going to be built around our young guns Samuel Dixon and Alfonso Molaba. I believe these riders can produce top quality results."
This has been confirmed this morning, as we saw Samuel Dixon as well as Molaba leave the headquarters early this morning bound for a secret training camp. Needless to say, things look promising for the future at Hyped Cycling
